The first thing I noticed: Agnostic.

Kentucky is Agnostic…

Well, it isn’t as bad as her other OCs, but I definitely to take issue with a lot of the information presented in this OC, including the fact that he is angostic.

While the United States doesn’t seem to have an official religion, from what I know, a lot of the southern states are very adamant about their religion. So there would really be no reason for him to be agnostic, unless the majority of the population of the state considers themselves to be agnostic, and, from what I’ve seen, it does not.

And let’s not forget that the southern US does have a long history with religion. I know that my US history is fuzzy, but the phrase “Second Great Awakening” comes to mind.

As for his personality, I don’t understand the “respects Europe” part, and saying “Southern values” is lost to me, as someone who only visited the American South once or twice, but overall, this is a definite improvement from the awfulness that her previous OCs were.

Of course, that wouldn’t have been that hard of an accomplishment to begin with, but let’s not ruin the fun.

About this OC, I think I can explain what they mean by “southern values”, since I myself live in the deep south.
Southern values from what I know is what most people refer to as “small town” values. Everything is slower - no need to rush. We always help our neighbors, help old people across the street, we always are polite, we don’t like to curse a lot (we see it as very rude) and there are tons of rules on how a man treats a woman. Its also rude to spit, and women are always daddys little girl, even if they know how to change their own flat tire.
Also, in the south, being polite is a HUGE deal, and my mother tend to lecture me about politeness quite often. And the mother knows her childs teachers, friends, and where that kid is or is going. Its also important that you’re strong. Boys play outside all day, everyone eats dinner together atleast one day a week, and there are a lot of recipes that are passed down from generations ago. One example for me is a pie my grandmother makes every Thanksgiving, which is a recipe that belonged to my great-grandmother from my grandfathers side.
Also, Kentucky wouldn’t be agnostic, just a note. Religion is a huge deal in the south, and mostly the majority of southerners (from what I have gathered) are Christians.
Anyways, hoped this cleared the whole “southern values” thing up for you. C:
